The Catla Catla carp were introduced as small fish soon after I began to develop the lake; at the same time as I introduced lots of small Siamese Giant Carp. Actually, their introduction was something of an accident – we believed that they were small Siamese Giant Carp. Anyway, it worked out well – they have really thrived in the lake. Since then we’ve added a few more locally sourced Catla Catla around the 7 kg mark. They have all done really well in Teak Tree Lake and the largest are now around 20 kg.
